Some exciting news to report from a training seminar I attended in Richmond, Va. A big topic of conversation was Commercial Induction lighting. Here are a few thing I learned. Changing your HID outdoor lighting to Induction lighting can save up to 50% in energy bills.

The “green” aspect of Induction lighting offers a long performance life up to 100,000 hours (that’s an incredible 22.8 years!) Lasting 5 – 8 time longer that typical HID lamps. Just think, lower energy bills. better visibility and dramatically reduced maintenance costs.

What are we talking about? Area lighting (campus & parking areas) garage lighting, walkway lighting, street lighting & warehouse lighting.

Another idea is to retro fit existing fixtures when possible. Government tax incentives (EPACT) are available till 2013.

White light is always the best source. Induction lighting offers proven performance with excellent color rendition. The one thing that left a lasting impression on me, was the fact that Induction lighting is twice the life of LED and half the cost.

Brooklyn’s newest outdoor party facility

When Matt Silver from Dyker Beach Golf Course called us looking for outdoor lighting for their facility, we were really thrilled. But, now seeing the possibilities for catering outdoor evening events at the club, we are even more excited.
